Luna ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Conversation Data: Your chat messages with Luna are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not transmit or store your conversations on external servers.
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data through Firebase Analytics to improve app performance. This includes:
- App launch frequency
- Feature usage patterns
- Crash reports
- Device type and iOS version
Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Luna Premium, your purchase is processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve Luna's AI companion features
- To process your subscription through Apple's App Store
- To send optional nighttime reminders (if enabled)
- To analyze and fix app issues
Data Storage & Security
Your conversation data is stored exclusively on your device. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. When you delete the app or use the "Delete All Data" feature, your local conversation history is permanently removed.
AI Processing & Data Sharing
Luna uses third-party AI services to generate responses. By using Luna, you consent to the following data sharing:
What data is sent:
- Your chat messages (text you type or speak via voice mode)
- Conversation context within the current session for coherent replies
Who receives your data:
- Google LLC (Gemini AI via Firebase AI Logic): Your messages are sent to Google's Gemini AI to generate Luna's responses. Google processes this data in real-time and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Corporation (Edge TTS): In voice mode, Luna's text responses are sent to Microsoft Edge Text-to-Speech to generate audio. This is subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
What is NOT sent:
- Your name, email, or account information
- Your contacts, photos, or location
- Device identifiers (beyond standard Firebase Analytics)
Data retention: We do not store your messages on any external server. Conversations are stored only on your device. Google and Microsoft process data in real-time according to their respective privacy policies and data retention practices.
Data protection: All third-party services provide privacy protection consistent with applicable data protection laws. Data is transmitted using industry-standard TLS encryption.

Your Rights
