By downloading or using SoberSend ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
SoberSend is a personal accountability tool that helps you avoid sending regrettable messages and accessing certain apps during designated hours. It uses Apple's Screen Time (FamilyControls) framework to block apps and provides sobriety challenges to unlock them.
SoberSend is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice. It is a personal accountability tool only. If you are struggling with substance abuse, please contact a medical professional or call SAMHSA at 1-800-662-4357.
The sobriety challenges (math, memory, speech) are designed as deterrents, not as scientifically validated sobriety tests. Results may not accurately reflect your level of impairment. Do not rely on passing a challenge as proof of sobriety.
SoberSend Premium is available as a monthly ($3.99/month) or yearly ($29.99/year) auto-renewable subscription.
The free tier allows locking 1 contact and 1 app, with Easy and Medium challenge difficulty. Premium unlocks unlimited contacts, unlimited apps, all difficulty levels, full statistics, and shareable morning reports.
SoberSend cannot block iMessage or SMS contacts directly. Apple does not provide APIs for third-party apps to intercept or block messages. The "Locked Contacts" feature is an accountability tracker — it records who you should avoid messaging and requires a challenge to remove a contact from the locked list.
The Emergency Unlock feature bypasses all locks for 5 minutes and has a 24-hour cooldown. This feature requires biometric authentication (Face ID or passcode). It is intended for genuine emergencies only.
You are solely responsible for your actions while using the app. SoberSend is not liable for any messages sent, actions taken, or consequences arising from the use or inability to use the app.
All content, code, and design in SoberSend are owned by Musa Masalla. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without permission.
SoberSend is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost data, missed messages, or emotional distress.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
