SoberSend ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Musa Masalla. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Contact names you choose to lock. These are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and are never transmitted to any server.
App selections. The apps you choose to block are managed entirely by Apple's Screen Time (FamilyControls) framework. We never see which apps you select — Apple handles this privately on-device.
Challenge attempt logs. Records of challenge attempts (pass/fail, timestamp, contact or app name) are stored locally on your device for the Morning Report feature.
Sober notes & intentions. Any notes you write are stored locally on your device.
Schedule preferences. Your lockdown schedule (start time, end time, active days) is stored locally.
The tongue twister challenge uses Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework. Audio is processed locally and is not sent to any server. Microphone access is only active during an active challenge session.
Emergency Unlock uses Face ID or Touch ID via Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data never leaves your device and is managed entirely by iOS.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information.
We send local notifications (morning reports, challenge prompts). These are generated on your device and are not push notifications from a server.
SoberSend is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
All data is stored on your device. Deleting the app removes all data. You can also reset your data within the app's settings.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
